Healthy hair is beautiful hair. It is so important to me that the choices I make when formulating color protect the integrity and condition of your hair. I do a thorough consultation to determine the current condition of the hair, the suitability of a desired look, and to discuss maintenance preferences. I share tips for proper home care to ensure long lasting, vibrant color and I make sure the looks I create complement face shape and skin tone. I recommend seasonal changes to keep things fresh and I take several classes a year to stay up to date on the newest and the best techniques. What advice would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time? The possibilities are endless with hair color. If someone is timid about color, I usually recommend starting off with a demi-permanent glossing service. The non-ammonia formula is so shiny and beautiful. It fades gradually and on tone, so the maintenance is very flexible. For someone who wants to brighten up a little bit, a few subtle highlights are a great place to start. What are you doing when you're not at the salon? Spending time with my husband and our son. We like early morning fishing trips at the beach, bike rides, and funny movies. I love coffee, reading, catching up with my girlfriends, and adding to my plant collection . As I’m getting older, I’m learning to embrace the importance of self care. I take a long walk every day to clear my mind and listen to music or podcasts. My favorite indulgences are my hair and skin care products.
